Emile Foote Bsc

Managing Director
Emile started the company in 1998 and has grown the business over the past 20 years. Following graduation from the the University of Plymouth with a 1st Class Honours Degree in Hydrography & Navigation Emile started his career offshore in Africa and the North Sea. Seeking greater hands-on involvement he then moved to the inshore waters of the UK with the formation of Shoreline.
Having grown up on and around the water meant that a career in hydrography was a natural next step. When not at work on the water Emile can be found in the water either sea swimming or kite surfing. He is never far from the sea.
Shoreline Surveys

Philip Lawrence BSC MSC

Hydrographic Surveyor
Philip joined Shoreline in March 2019 having worked in Bahrain for many years conducting multibeam dredge monitoring survey. Having graduated with the MSc in Hydrography Philip went straight into the industry. His experiences with CAD work and multibeam processing has enabled him to swiftly become up to speed with our main survey discipline. Philip is keen to progress his knowledge in the other areas of our work and so far has enjoyed his experiences with LIDAR and side scan sonar. His thirst for survey diversity and varied project locations is certainly being met with Shoreline. The team are very happy to have him aboard. Outside of work Philip enjoys mountain biking, SCUBA diving and playing the guitar.

Pete Cruttenden

Commecial Skipper – Master 200GT
Having commenced employment in the Spring of 2019 it soon became apparent that Pete was more than just a capable skipper. As a highly trained mechanic and having owned his own vessels for many years he is ideally suited to service and maintain our vessels and associated equipment. His qualifications, experience and ‘can-do’ attitude are certain assets to Shoreline and as such he is a highly valued member of the team. When he is not onboard with Shoreline you may find him still onboard but on his own vessel in the Solent following his passion for fishing.
